Applications such as ChatGPT or Gemini have become game-changers for businesses of all sizes as they allow professionals to leverage the power of AI and gain a competitive edge in their respective industries. With AI-powered applications, companies can automate tedious tasks, create unique content, and quickly generate new ideas, which helps them save time and become more efficient.

 

These applications can also act as a sparring partner, providing valuable insights and feedback based on data-driven insights to help refine ideas and strategies. But how do you go beyond the chat experience these applications provide?

 

Professionals use various tools, from managing business operations to completing daily tasks. Collaborative platforms like Google Drive or Notion help them store data on documents, while products like Airtable and Excel allow them to store their data more structured. They frequently access information from these environments and use it, manually or automatically, throughout their workflows. However, they are splitting their data across multiple environments in various formats.


The question then arises — how can AI access these environments and the existing resources? Should it be configured through complex workflow designers to allow them to connect applications between them? Or is copying and pasting from those environments into the chat interfaces easier? Alternatively, should they hire a technical team to develop a custom solution? Well, this may be costly.


None of the solutions mentioned above are scalable and easy to use. Therefore, we must explore a space that integrates with third-party environments and provides the necessary resources more efficiently and cheaply. This space should incorporate third-party resources into a task for an AI to comprehend and provide responses.

 

The AI Workspace

In December of last year, we launched Surfsite Beta as an AI-powered tool to assist users in improving their prompts. Since then, we have been committed to continually enhancing this tool. To better understand the prompt design process, we interviewed industry professionals experiencing difficulties. While many struggled with prompt engineering, we discovered that the main issue was the need for coherence in their information and data across multiple platforms. This inconsistency was also impacting their ability to create effective prompts.


For this reason, we decided to embark on an extraordinary project. We began working on a significant update, a game-changing new product.


We started working on the first AI workspace that enables professionals and their teams to integrate AI capabilities into their workflow seamlessly. This is not just about configuring boxes, linking them with lines, or writing code. It is about intelligent text blocks synchronized with other applications and databases.

Distributed AI tasks — in a single place

Our platform has a user-friendly prompt editor that allows users to create tasks using a block-based system. Each block can open a new context or connect to a third-party system. The best part is that anyone can use our platform, regardless of their technical background. Users don’t need to worry about tokens, grammar, prompt techniques, or prompt chaining. We have designed it to equip them with all the necessary tools.


We collaborate with professionals from various industries to implement Surfsite into their workspace and understand their use cases. This way, we build a complete and accurate use case library that allows users to integrate AI into their workflows within minutes.


Using blocks, which can store all relevant data about the user’s interests (such as product descriptions, target audience, company services, etc.), integrating a use case is as simple as dragging and dropping blocks into the use-case block placeholders.

Therefore, it accommodates various inputs, including texts, images, videos, documents, databases, and data from other systems like Airtable databases, Notion pages, and Google Drive documents.
